Reading and Writing Headlines
- Females out-performed males in Reading progress scores however Male’s attainment in Reading EXS+ was higher than females.
- No males achieved GDS in Reading and 10% of males achieved GDS in Writing against 29% of females.
- Prior high attainment scored below NA in progress scores for Reading only.
- 33% of previous Reading KS1 GDS achieved GDS at KS2 SATS but 100% achieved this in Writing from previous GDS to current GDS – worth noting that in the prior high attainment cohort at KS1, only 33% were ‘home-grown’ from KS1-KS2.
Maths Headlines
- Males and females made the same high progress and achieved in line with each other.
- Prior high attainment in Maths scored -0.05 (only progress figure below NA)
- 50% of previous Maths KS1 GDS achieved GDS at KS2 SATS.
- Males were slightly stronger than females in GDS.
