House System

House System

When pupils join Flora Gardens, they are placed into one of four Houses: Diamond, Emerald, Ruby or Sapphire. Pupils will remain in the same House throughout their school life. By placing pupils in Houses, it enables inter-school competition at all levels, as well as creating a sense of belonging. A few exciting competitions include: the winter music video competition, sports day and a variety of different house day events!

Each House is led by a Head of House, and are assisted different captains, who are selected from years 5 and 6. House and Vice Captains have the important role of inclusion and wellbeing monitors, to ensure that everyone has someone looking out for them at break and lunchtimes. There are also Captains for Sport and Art, who set up and run enjoyable activities during break and lunchtime!

The Bank and Shop

Our school has a super initiative to encourage good attendance and punctuality for our children. Our idea is that the children can earn house points (dojos) as rewards for excellent attendance, punctuality and showing our school values. House points (dojos) can be spent in our shop, where there are dutiful ‘Shop Keepers’ to help you pick out anything you want! The shop has a wide variety of items available for the children to purchase. Just check out the shop bellow!
