Early Years Foundation Stage
Flora Gardens Primary School EYFS Vision
At the heart of our Early Years provision is a commitment to giving every child the very best start in life. Our carefully designed curriculum (Intent) builds strong foundations across all seven areas of learning, with a particular focus on personal, social and emotional development, communication and language, and physical development. We recognise each child’s unique starting point, including those with SEND or additional needs, and ensure inclusive, ambitious learning for all. Through clear progression, high-quality adult interactions, structured routines and evidence-based approaches (Implementation), we teach skills sequentially, track development carefully and create engaging environments that promote independence and wellbeing. As a result (Impact), children make strong progress, develop confidence and resilience, and leave Reception well-prepared for the transition into Key Stage 1, with secure foundations in learning and positive attitudes towards school.
